The State of the Chronicles: April 2010

This month was mainly a vacation month, as I took a break from worldbuilding, but we should be getting back into the groove of writing in here soon.

Commence Shokiyu Rebuilding!

◦Are the laws of nature and physics actually different in this world, or are they the same as in real life? How does magic fit in? How do magical beasts fit in?

There are many similarities to Earth laws and physics on Shokiyu, but those laws can be bent (and sometimes broken) when something is affected by magic. Spells that do this, however, are few and far between, and take a lot of training to use well.

Magic is used as a means of self defense, protection, and conjuration (not unlike a martial art on earth) Fantastic creatures are no different from Earth creatures, but they mainly keep to themselves, so spotting one potends something great for the spotee (exactly what depends on what creature you saw)

After a bit of a hiatus, I'm ready to get back in the swing of things--new worldbuilding bits coming this weekend

There IS such a thing as overplanning...

...and maybe that's what's causing me to not write in my world as much.

At the same time, a lot of Shokiyu needs to be redesigned, so I'm in a dillema...
