Sekiyan Fashion, Day 7

What materials are appropriate for the climate? What cloth (e.g., silk) must be imported, and is therefore used only for expensive upper-class clothing?

Leather, cotton, wool, and linen are most often seen on the Eastern Continent. Silk and velvet are seen more in the upper class, but velvet is more likely to be imported, since the avri lands have a strong silk industry (but it is still pricey to obtain)

  1. nice! My story is going down more the LoTR approach: The language comes first, and the story follows.- although I have some first drafts of poems I've written- which may or may not feature in the books...

Anyways, Yours is lookign brilliant. Have you got any actuall written material yet, or is it still completely in the planning stages?

  2. I've noticed that you seem to be describing a perfectionate world- I'm guessing that it'll be like that at the start, but a problem/person/apocolyptical vision will chnage that, and the heroes will ahve the weight of Sekiya on their shoulders?

(I'm guessing so, as that's how a good-but not all good- fantasy books go.)

  3. The world is as it is because the Twelve Stones keep it safe--but when their guardians start disappearing, that;s when the quest begins (a Stone's guardian disappearing or dying means the Stone has been taken.

I do have an early draft of one scene, but I'm planning everything out (or as much as I can plan) before I write any more of the story proper. When you're planning on writing a long story (like I'm hoping) a lot of planning is needed
